Oil & Filter Service
Conventional, synthetic blend and full synthetic oil service.
We use the oil grade and specification your manufacturer calls for, not whatever is cheapest on the shelf. Modern engines with variable valve timing and turbochargers are specific about viscosity and additive package, and the wrong oil causes real problems.
Every oil service includes a multi-point inspection: fluid levels, belts and hoses, tire condition and pressure, brake wear, lights and battery condition. If we find something, you get told about it — not sold on it.
Signs to watch for
- The oil life monitor or maintenance reminder has come on
- Oil on the dipstick is black, gritty or below the minimum mark
- Ticking or tapping from the top of the engine on a cold start
- Drips or spots on the driveway where you park
When to have it done
- Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles on most modern engines running full synthetic
- Every 3,000 to 5,000 miles on older engines or conventional oil
- At least once a year even on low mileage — oil degrades with time, not just distance
- Sooner if you tow, sit in traffic constantly, or do mostly short trips
What K&K does
- Drain and refill with the exact oil specification your engine requires
- New oil filter and drain plug gasket every time
- Multi-point inspection with anything found reported to you
- Fluids topped off and tire pressures set to the door placard
- Service reminder reset before you leave
